Price adjustment formulae indices and covid-19

The Price Adjustment Formulae Indices (PAFI), part of BCIS CapX, are based on the movement of factory gate prices for materials* and plant (?) and nationally agreed wage awards and labour on-costs.

They are based on weightings agreed by the industry for each series.

They will not therefore reflect any changes in site productivity in individual trades bought about by the implementation of Site Operating Procedures (SOP) introduced in response to the Covid 19 crisis.

They will reflect any changes in prices of materials and components bought about by changes in manufacturing procedures within the producers’ factories and plants.
