Overall responsibility to lead, manage, develop and support the Project Data Team in delivery of BCIS data products and connected consultancy services to professionals in the built environment. In delivering these products this role will ensure that there are a range of data and information products that meet the needs of key stakeholders in markets around the world, maximise revenue and profit opportunities and drive customer satisfaction.

  • Implement the BCIS Data Products strategy through collaboration with the product managers, market teams, the profession and direct interface with customers to an agreed schedule
  • Manage and oversee the compilation, technical production, strategic development and delivery of project data for existing and new products and associated consultancy services ensuring quality, fitness for purpose and cost effectiveness
  • Keep the products updated to the agreed SLAs, investigating and improving efficiencies and delivery ensuring that they fit with RICS strategy and are aligned to global standard adoption strategy
  • Provide technical product support to our customers
  • Provide motivating and effective leadership by leading a high performing, engaged team, ensuring that all team members have clear roles and responsibilities and business plan-aligned SMART objectives, whilst demonstrating the RICS behaviours and providing effective, positively framed feedback on a timely basis
  • Provide the markets with expert advice and publish technical content, showcasing thought leadership in the area of project data.
  • Meet or exceed operational KPIs set in annual objectives (quality, frequency of data, customer satisfaction, etc)
  • Continuous improvement to ensure our project data is fit for purpose, evolving to meet market expectations, is recognised as market-leading and drives thought leadership
  • A high performing, engaged team (meeting or exceeding team engagement targets set in annual objectives as measured through surveys)
  • Develop, maintain and document the appropriate quality assurance measures for your area of responsibility and ensure continual compliance by you and your team
  • Support the data requirements necessary for the delivery of relevant bespoke consultancy services.
  • Quantity surveyor with proven statistical knowledge
  • Extensive experience of data products for the built environment
  • Experienced technical author
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to distil information clearly
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Quality management/continual improvement: a desire to innovate, accept risk and challenge continuing relevance of existing procedures
  • Experienced people manager
  • Experience of project management
  • A strong desire for quality, with an eye for detail
  • A broad range of computer skills including MS Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and knowledge of data science techniques
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
