The launch of the Built Environment Carbon Database (BECD) demonstrates what can be achieved when the industry comes together to instigate change. Developed and funded by BCIS, and chaired by our CEO, James Fiske, BECD is ground-breaking in its potential to help drive down the industry’s significant impact on the climate.
As well as promoting a consistent way of measuring and reporting whole-life carbon emissions, BECD enables users to compare, improve and learn from other projects. To further promote the crucial sharing of experience and knowledge across the industry, BCIS is launching a carbon newsletter.
We’ll have news and insights from James, as well as bringing together commentary from other industry leaders, including those who were instrumental in the development of BECD.
