Reflecting the substantial increase in building alterations and refurbishment activity in the UK in recent years, this comprehensive price book provides more than 15,000 rates with build-ups for labour, plant and material costs. Rates are totalled to show a competitive and realistic total unit price, requiring only provision for profit and overheads to be added.
The data contained in this price book is intended for use on projects consisting entirely or substantially of alterations and improvements to existing buildings, from simply taking out a door and blocking up the opening, to comprehensive projects up to £250,000 in value.

This edition includes fully reviewed and updated costs to reflect the realistic and competitive pricing levels predominant in this part of the construction industry.
With more than 500 new rates, additions to the 2023 dataset include a range of sustainable items to help our users incorporate new materials and ways of working to reduce carbon emissions and also adhere to building regulation changes.
Material supply costs and plant hire charges reflect national averages and are current at 2Q2022. The labour rates incorporate the latest wage agreements from BATJIC, JIB-PMES and the Electrotechnical JIB.
In order to reflect the more costly nature of alterations and refurbishment work, a plus rate has been incorporated into the hourly cost calculation.
